FRANKLIN COUNTY, Va. (WFXR) — The Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) arrested a now-former deputy Justin Sigmon, of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office, in Miami after allegedly making inappropriate physical contact with a child while on a cruise. According to the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office’s website, Sigmon was an employee of the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office at the time of the arrest. On June 2nd, Sigmon resigned from his job at the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office where he worked as a captain. Investigators said there is also witness video of the incident that allegedly took place in the dining room area of the ship. According to the passenger, Sigmon covered his crotch with his hands after his daughter had moved away from him. On May 30, Justin Sigmon was charged by the US District Court with abusive sexual contact of a minor under 12.
